Square Enix’s Major Restructure
Square Enix, a video game company in action since 2003, has announced that it’s now pivoting to AI and blockchain. The company plans to aggressively incorporate these technologies into its content development and publishing processes to provide innovative experiences for players.
They’ve also launched an interactive art experience using NFTs.
Paul Logan To Buy Back His Own NFTs
Logan Paul recently announced a plan to buy back all the NFT eggs from his failed blockchain game CryptoZoo and return the money to players. This buyback process will compensate investors for their initial investments. While some see this as a PR move, it does provide financial relief to those who lost money.
Whether or not this helps Paul regain trust of the collectors or not is yet to be seen.
Now Trade Home Addresses with Propy
A new dApp (decentralised application) called PropyKeys allows users to mint and trade real world home addresses as NFTs on the blockchain. It enables property owners to mint their physical addresses onchain and exchange or stake these digital titles.
Transacting properties is much easier with NFTs, isn’t it?
New Milestone for Bitcoin NFTs
NFT sales on the Bitcoin blockchain have reached over $881 million, setting a new record. Some credits for this achievement could be given to the Ordinals protocol which allows for the creation of unique Bitcoin-based NFTs called Ordinals by inscribing data onto satoshis.
A notable Ordinals auction was held by Sotheby’s featuring pixelated art from the “BitcoinShrooms” collection, with some pieces selling for over $100,000.
