Each Otherdeed holder, also known as a "Voyager," will be able to claim a Vessel NFT, and that is how the adventure will start, as Yuga Labs revealed. Players will protect the Otherside using vessels, which are meteors.

Then the voyagers can soon start decoupling Kodas from Otherdeeds. Vessels can develop into Mara or apprentices, and, with the right conditions and catalyst, they can transform into Kodamara or more advanced creatures. Early April will mark the start of the claim window for vessels. Each claimed Vessel would be sent as a unique ERC-721 token along with a new smart contract/NFT collection to the Otherdeed-holding wallet. Vessels can be bought and sold through trading systems in addition to being accessible through the claim.

What is a Mara?

An alien being called a Mara appears from a Vessel. They are young workers that can only complete rudimentary jobs. The three distinct Mara species that will emerge from the Vessels are Farmer, Hunter, and Enchanter. Maras will have a new contract and NFT collection and be ERC-721 tokens distinct from Vessels. Once Maras have left their Vessels and become a new collection, they can be bought and traded on trading websites.
